Water Sweep
A cleanup of the Ouachita River and area waterways

“Water Sweep” is an award winning event that encourages groups and individuals to help us clean the scenic Ouachita River and shoreline. Staging sites for the event will be at Lazarre Park, Forsythe Park, Moon Lake Recreation Area, Bawcomville Recreation Area, Black Bayou NWR, Cheniere Lake and Sterlington Recreation Area. For this event to be successful we need your help. Volunteers are needed to participate for just a few hours. Boaters are needed to provide transportation for participants. Each and every person can make a difference. If you want to organize a cleanup in another body of water in Ouachita Parish please let us know and we will work with you to help out.
