JOB SHADOWING DAY. 2026png

Why Participate?

Many high school seniors are at a crossroads, unsure of their next steps after graduation. Job Shadow Day helps guide them by offering an inside look at the possibilities within their community. Your involvement helps students envision a future here, where they can thrive and contribute to the local economy.

How it Works:

  • Businesses open their doors for one day to host a small group of students or an individual senior. (The number of students is up to you)
  • Students spend the day observing workplace operations, engaging with professionals, and learning about the skills, education, and experience required for success in various roles.
  • Hosts are encouraged to provide interactive opportunities such as tours, Q&A sessions, or hands-on experiences to enrich the learning experience.
  • Students are dropped off at your business (approximately 9 am) and picked up (approximately 1 pm)
  • We ask that you provide a lunch for those students you host. The total number of students you host, and which event day you select is up to you.

Benefits to Your Business:

  • Spotlight Your Industry: Share your story, highlight career opportunities, and raise awareness about the critical roles your industry plays in the local economy.
  • Build Connections: Foster relationships with the community and plant seeds for potential internships, apprenticeships, or future employees.
  • Give Back: Inspire young people and contribute to workforce development by helping students better understand career possibilities and the educational paths needed to achieve them.
