At Century Next Bank, Peyton Underwood serves as Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending, where he helps drive the success of local businesses by offering tailored lending solutions and investment support. His role goes far beyond numbers and paperwork—Peyton takes pride in building strong relationships with his clients and serving as a reliable financial partner as they grow and evolve.

“I strive to be more than just a banker—I aim to be a trusted advisor,” Peyton says. “What I love most is being part of someone’s journey. When you can help turn a bold idea into a thriving business, that’s something special.”

Peyton’s understanding of the business landscape and his passion for community development naturally led him to get involved with the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce. His leadership has quickly made a mark. As Secretary of the Chamber Board, Peyton plays a key role in shaping the direction of the organization. He currently serves on both the Executive Committee and Governmental Advocacy Committee, bringing his financial expertise and strategic mindset to the table.

Through these roles, Peyton helps guide high-level decisions, support the Chamber’s legislative advocacy efforts, and ensure that the Chamber remains responsive to the needs of local businesses and stakeholders. His calm, thoughtful approach and dedication to the Chamber’s mission have made him a respected voice among his peers.

“The Chamber is a powerful vehicle for progress,” Peyton shares. “It brings people together, supports our businesses, and helps move our region forward. I’m proud to play a part in that and to work alongside so many passionate leaders who care deeply about our community.”

When he’s not working or volunteering his time through the Chamber, Peyton enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it’s hitting the golf course, playing pickleball with friends, or just enjoying a sunny Louisiana afternoon, he finds balance in staying active. Peyton recently married his wife, Molly, and together they share their home with a spirited golden doodle named Buster, who keeps life exciting and full of laughter.
