City of West Monroe launches Mayor’s Youth Council on January 28
WEST MONROE – The City of West Monroe will officially launch its first-ever Mayor’s Youth Council on Tuesday, January 28.
A group of high school students from West Monroe and West Ouachita have been selected to serve on the Mayor’s Youth Council. Through participation in this group, students will develop their individual leadership skills to strengthen the West Monroe community through volunteer service and greater awareness of how municipal government operates. Members will also provide valuable insight about issues affecting our community.
The first meeting of the Mayor’s Youth Council will take place on Tuesday, January 28 at 6 p.m. at West Monroe City Hall, located at 2305 N. 7th Street. An induction ceremony will take place for Youth Council members during this meeting.
