    Job Description
    The Programs & Events Manager plans, organizes and oversees all West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce related programs and events. The Programs & Events Manager is responsible for the management, communication and distribution of all chamber services and events as well as the overall success of each program or event at the highest possible value to the organization.  

    Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
    1. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely: orally, in writing and on social media.
    2. General knowledge of business practices, operations and need.
    3. Ability to create visual concepts, by using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.
    4. Ability to develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, and magazines.
    5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Board of Directors, employees, committees, members, governmental units, civic groups and the general public.
    6. Demonstrated commitment to and vision for the mission of the Chamber of Commerce.
    7. Working knowlege of Microsoft Office: Word, Publisher, Powerpoint and Excel.
    Duties of the Programs & Events Manager are performed from the Chamber office as well as offsite with travel required. Additionally, some weekend and evening hours are required and necessary to fulfill Chamber goals.

    Job Status: Full-time

    A bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field is preferred.
