All children have a right to thrive, but sometimes there are things that can hurt or help the process--these are commonly reffered to as risk and protective factors. Risk and protective factors can affect children at different stages of their lives. At each stage, risks occur that can be changed through prevention intervention. The conference will present paths and CEU's for social works, educators, medical professionals as well as parents. Topics will include Trust and Trauma, Resiliency and anti-bullying, substance abuse prevention, early childhood care and education and Adverse Childhood Experiences.
