Dear Valued Partner,
You are invited to participate in Louisiana Delta Community College’s 2017 Career and Technology Fair. This fair will highlight all of LDCC's technical and academic programs, plus our invaluable industry partners, like you. We have invited all of our local high schools that are within our 2,100 square mile service area. The majority of these high schools will be bringing their Juniors and Seniors to the Fair. This will be an opportunity for them to investigate what skills they need to work for you. We will be at the Ike Hamilton Exposition Center in West Monroe, LA. The Fair will be Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb.14th and 15th) from 9 a.m.-noon each day and on the 15th from 9 am- noon and again from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for the general public. Please set up on Monday, Feb. 13th after 2:00 p.m. LDCC values your partnership and we hope that you will be able to have representation there. Also, as an added feature this year, we would love for you to have an interactive display of sorts. One in which the students can do something pertaining to the employment or skills required to work for you. We have seen this done at other fairs in different states and it is truly a fabulous way to have the students understand what it takes to become employees. Last year we had over 2500 students in attendance and this year we are expecting 3000. If you will be able to attend one or both days, please specify which or both days and notify Julie Salter and/or me, so we can have a table reserved for you. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Dean Baugh
