Monday, April 21st, 2008 MONROE/WEST MONROE BPW OFFERS MEDIA/PUBLIC SPEAKING TRAINING SEMINAR FOR WOMEN 8:00am - 4:00pm
Monroe/West Monroe Business and Professional Women, Inc. and WOMENSPEAK Training are presenting a workshop "Media/Public Speaking Training For Women", in conjunction with Equal Pay Day on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Atrium, 2001 Louisville Avenue, Monroe. Co-sponsors for the event are the West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce and The Atrium.
Emily A. Donahoe, founder of Womenspeak Training, provides media training and public speaking training for women. The program offers public communication training that brings the knowledge of gender-based communication differences to the ever-growing skill set of public relations.
Donahoe, a native of Louisiana, has extensive background in communications training and is the co-creator/co-manager of "Lake Providence Help" during Hurricane Katrina which was featured on BBC's "The World" and NPR's "Talk of the Nation, an effort which raised over $20,000.00 in donations in four days for disaster relief.
Cost for this event which includes lunch is $200.00 for the early registration deadline of February 1, 2008. Seating is limited and final registration deadline is March 1, 2008 with a cost of $250.00.
